June 2022 Adoptions
Last month our adoptions included a half dozen bonded pairs, a handful of stressed cats, a smattering of Forgotten Kittens, and a generous sprinkle of urgent requests, just to get the summer started! Your support helped all of these cats get adopted into homes where they’ll be loved for the rest of their lives.

Welcome, Cynthia!
Cynthia Kopec is no stranger to animal welfare after a decade in senior leadership at the San Francisco. Cynthia has been a long-time supporter of Cat Town’s mission to help hard-to-place cats, and we’re delighted that she’s joined our Board of Directors!

May 2022 Adoptions
We asked, and you answered! Thank you to everyone who helped us reach our monthly donor drive goal early — securing our entire $10,000 challenge match before May 31. Hitting our goal means we can focus on supporting the vulnerable cats who need us.

Meredith needs your help
Kitten season is here, which means shelter cages are filling up with youngsters. This is a time when many sick, stressed, and scared adult cats get passed over in favor of helping younger, healthier, more confident cats find homes. We don’t want them to get left behind, but we can’t help them alone.

April 2022 Adoptions
Another month has come and gone, which means we have more adoption stories to share with you! Each of these shelter cats had a rough start on their adoption journey, and fewer options than their younger, healthier, more confident counterparts.

Help Us Close the Gap
In 2014, Cat Town opened America’s first cat cafe to give the Oakland city shelter’s most at-risk cats a better chance at adoption. Since then, the shelter’s intake for cats has risen 51%, spreading their limited resources even thinner for their highest-need cats. This year, we’re stepping up our support again to meet the growing demand for our services.
