Do you love cats? Do you want to help local Oakland cats thrive and work toward adoption? Cat Town needs reliable, passionate, talented volunteers to help at our Adoption Center and behind the scenes.
Volunteers are the cornerstone of our Adoption Center in Oakland. Volunteer Hosts welcome guests and potential adopters, and help them engage with our cats in an open, playful environment. Cat Socializers work with our under-socialized cats to encourage them to build positive relationships with humans. Fosters open their homes to help our cats on their adoption journeys.
Cat Town also relies on volunteers to maintain our facilities and operations. They support staff with cleaning and maintenance, transport cats and supplies, help with administrative and IT tasks, and other behind-the-scenes essentials. Volunteer Requirements
18 years of age or older
Email and online access for training and remote work
Initial commitment of 4 hours per month for the first 3 months
Please be advised that not every volunteer position is available at all times.
