October 2020 Adoptions

They say that good things come in threes, but in this case our wonderful tabbies came in a huge wave of 17 cats for the month of October!

Not only was this a fun challenge for our staff and volunteers — who deftly differentiated each cat by subtle coat variations, ear tips, nose and eye color, or simply their different personalities — it meant lots of striped and swirled cats got out of the shelter and into loving homes. Of course we had tuxedos, calicos, and black cats as well. Thanks to your support, whether these cats were in bonded pairs, seniors, or scared little kittens, we were able to help them out!

After recovering from life with 14 other cats in their previous home, raven-haired beauties Bancroft and Merritt, became the apple of someone’s eye in October.

With borderline diabetes, kidney disease, and arthritis, Gerrie needed a special adopter, and he found just that: his incredible adopters wanted to help a senior cat just like him. They fell in love straight away.

We knew that all along, and are thrilled that after he had totally shut down and stopped eating at the shelter — requiring us to bring him to Cat Town ASAP to get him urgent care — Farallon is now part of a lovely family with three other cats to play with.

Jumanji and Carabiner were part of a home with nearly 20 cats in February, and after lots of patient love and care for these shy cats, an adopter who wanted a bonded pair swooped in to love them forever.
