CAT TOWN BLOG

Volunteer of the Month: Nicole G.
This month we’re turning the spotlight on Nicole G., one such counselor who does amazing work helping our cats find loving homes. Not only does she volunteer each week in the Cat Zone, but she is also a case manager; following-up and working with adopters of some of our special cats who might need a little time to adjust to a new home.
Volunteer of the Month: Angeline Y.
Many people aren’t aware of Cat Town’s extensive foster network. There are a variety of reasons why a cat may be in a foster home; they might be recovering from an illness or surgery, they could be a cat who may not do well in our public Cat Zone space, or they could simply be decompressing from being in the shelter while they wait to be adopted.
Angeline Y. has been a rockstar foster since 2017. She chooses to focus on senior cats and cats with medical needs who may be passed over for younger, healthier cats. I talked with Angeline about her experience fostering for Cat Town and why she hopes others will consider opening their hearts to cats with special needs.
Volunteer of the Month: Randy H.
In our first 2019 spotlight, we’re featuring volunteer Randy H., who’s been a fan of Cat Town since the beginning. When his schedule opened up, he decided to get in on the action, and has been a stalwart volunteer force in our Adoption Center ever since. As one of our regular weekly volunteers, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Randy around or talked with him about one of our cats.

Volunteers of the Month: Victoria & Rob G.
Meet Victoria and Rob G., an incredible couple who have fostered nine Cat Town cats over the past few years. I talked with them about their experience fostering and what they love about working with more challenging cases.

Volunteer of the Month: Shelley G.
This Thanksgiving holiday, we’re especially grateful for our incredible group of volunteers, who day in and day out help keep Cat Town running. This month w’re shining the spotlight on Shelley G., a local artist and one of our regular volunteers who helps out in the Adoption Center Studios, socializing our hardest-to-place cat population. When she’s not at Cat Town, she enjoys spending time in her art studio with her two rambunctious cats, Lenny and Squiggy.

Volunteer of the Month: Rachael P.
It’s no secret that Cat Town has the greatest volunteers around. Rachael P. is an integral part of our team, helping with things like our Case Management Program and socializing members of our Forgotten Kitten Project. She even serves as an unofficial Cat Town ambassador, spreading the word about the organization to her Lyft and Uber passengers.
