KITTEN WIRE: MEET A SHY CAT NAMED MILTON
OAKLAND — Sometimes a cat's journey from shelter cage to forever home requires a few diversions along the way. That's the case with Milton, one of our newer members of the Forgotten Kitten Project.
Milton is a shy, 7-month-old boy with a black, silky coat and green eyes that are often dilated in fear. Cat Town rescued him from Oakland Animal Services when our staff saw he was too scared in a cage to be viable for adoption in that environment.

November 2017 Adoptions
Cat Town works hard to help vulnerable senior cats land on their feet. During November's Adopt-a-Senior-Pet month, we found homes for a number of our cats, including seven seniors!
We're always so excited when our cats find their matches, and we can't wait to share more of their adoption stories with you in the coming months.

Helping Tomorrow's Older Shelter Kittens Today
Stray cats teach their kittens to survive by avoiding danger, including people. By the time their kittens are 4 months old, most rescue organizations believe it’s too late to socialize them, so many never make it out of the shelter.
At Cat Town, we give these kittens all the time they need to learn humans are safe through our Forgotten Kitten Project.

KITTEN WIRE: SIBLINGS FILL NEW HOME WITH JOY
OAKLAND, Calif. — The two kittens couldn't be more different. Aspen, a mini snow tiger with blue eyes and an easy purr, was quick to warm to people, while Leaf, a fluffy girl with faded tortoiseshell markings, trembled in the corner anytime someone approached.
From our perspective, these sisters needed each other. And we needed adopters who understood that. Then on a Friday in September, we met Tricia and Aiden, a mother-son pair who visited Cat Town for Aiden's birthday.

5 Reasons to Adopt a Senior Cat
We're coming up on the end of Adopt-a-Senior-Pet month, so to finish off our promotion, we’re highlighting five reasons you should consider adopting an older cat. Our senior cats will be the first to tell you that age is just a number!

Happy at Home Together: Meghan and Sadie's Story
