Saving Pets Challenge - Day 1!

12 hours into the Saving Pets Challenge and we have raised almost $10,000! Thank you to all our amazing donors!!

EDIT: WE'VE SURPASSED 10K!! THANK YOU! PLEASE HELP US KEEP THIS MOMENTUM GOING!

Your donations are supporting adoption stories like Griffin's below!

This two-year-old came into the Oakland shelter in a trap, in late January. He hissed and growled at anyone who came near him, so it’s not a surprise that he was assumed to be feral. After FIVE months in a cage, he started to let his guard down and we saw a glimmer of the cat behind all that fear. Two weeks ago, he left the shelter and came to Cat Zone 2 (CZ2), our transition space next to Cat Town Cafe, where he quickly showed us he is an affectionate lap cat.

Oh, and two days ago, he was adopted!

If you see the photo of him at the shelter, in the collage, compared to the photos in CZ2, he doesn’t even look like the same cat. Were it not for Cat Town, Griffin’s story would have ended at the shelter. Going out on a limb to help cats like Griffin is our reason for being!
